Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 2026

Susmaterials ("we", "us", or "our"), a business established in 2002, operates the website susmaterials.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from visitors and business contacts, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

We are a business-to-business (B2B) supplier of leather alternatives and textiles for fashion, footwear and accessories brands. The Site is intended for procurement professionals, brands, and other business users. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide through our inquiry form

When you contact us through the inquiry / contact form on the Site, we collect the information you choose to submit, which typically includes:

You provide this information voluntarily. If you do not provide it, we may be unable to respond to your inquiry or prepare a quotation.

1.2 Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our Site and its infrastructure automatically receive certain technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, referring page, and pages viewed. This is used for security, delivery, and basic performance purposes (see Section 3, Cloudflare).

1.3 What we do NOT collect

To be transparent about our current setup: we do not run Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Hotjar, or any advertising or behavioral tracking pixels on this Site. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell your personal information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

We process this information because it is necessary to respond to your request and to pursue our legitimate business interests as a B2B supplier. We do not use your inquiry information for unrelated marketing without a lawful basis to do so.

3. Third Parties and Service Providers

We keep third-party processing to a minimum. The Site currently relies on the following service providers:

3.1 formsubmit.co (form relay)

Our inquiry form is submitted through formsubmit.co, a third-party form-relay service. When you submit the form, the information you entered (such as your name, email, and inquiry content) passes through formsubmit.co's systems in order to be delivered to us by email. formsubmit.co processes this data as part of delivering the message. We recommend reviewing formsubmit.co's own privacy terms for details of how they handle data in transit.

3.2 Cloudflare (CDN, security, and performance)

The Site is served through Cloudflare, a content delivery network (CDN) and security provider. Cloudflare processes technical request data (such as IP address and request metadata) to deliver the Site quickly, protect against attacks, and provide basic aggregate performance insights ("Web Analytics" / insights beacon). This is functional infrastructure, not advertising tracking.

3.3 Hosting and email

Our website hosting provider, and Cloudflare Email Routing together with our email provider, process data on our behalf in order to host the Site and deliver the inquiry emails we receive.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We only share it with the service providers listed above to the extent necessary to operate the Site and respond to you, or where required by law.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Site uses a small number of functional cookies and similar technologies:

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or behavioral profiling cookies on this Site. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings; note that blocking functional cookies may affect how the Site works.

5. Data Retention

We keep inquiry and business correspondence for as long as needed to respond to you, to manage any resulting or ongoing business relationship, and to meet our legal, accounting, and record-keeping obligations. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we delete it or anonymize it. You may ask us to delete your information sooner (see Section 6).

6. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the address in Section 8. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Depending on your location, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. International Transfers and Security

As a supplier that works with international business customers, information you send us may be processed in the United States and by the service providers described above, which may operate in other countries. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including serving the Site over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
